Vibha Bafna

I have completed my UG from KEMH Mumbai and MD Pediatrics from JJ hospital, Mumbai under the guidance of Dr Y.K Amdekar. Later i did the IAP Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology from Wadia Children Hospital, Mumbai under Dr Bharat Agarwal. I also spent some time as observer at Bristol and Birmingham children's hospital, PHO unit.. I started the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology unit at Bharati Vidyapeeth Hospital, Department of Pediatrics. I started institutional and IAP Fellowship also at Bharati Hospital. I have had a good experience of lectures, panel discussions, etc at national and regional conferences and CME. I have also research publications in reputed journals. I have guided many students for their research work and publications.

Practice

I practice Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Jehangir Hospital. I am Incharge of the PHO unit of Department of Pediatrics at Bharati Hospital. I am also a teacher for the Institutional and IAP Fellowship program at Bharati Hospital. My chief interest is in pediatric hemolytic anemia and in Pediatric leukemia. I also enjoy teaching at all levels. My goal is to improve outcomes of pediatric cancer in our country and raise awareness for pediatric cancer in the medical fraternity. I strive to provide holistic care for children with cancer and support their family through their difficult journey
